Wedding Bells for Farhan Shibani

There will be a Bollywood wedding coming weekend, as actor Farhan Akhtar and singer Shibani Dandekar are said to be getting married. The events are expected to begin on February 19.

The couple will have a traditional & small Maharashtrian marriage ceremony at Javed Akhtar & Shabana Azmi’s farmhouse of Khandala, Maharashtra, according to sources near the family who spoke exclusively to the Hindustan Times.

An insider informs that the family has been exceedingly private about the wedding because they do not want the press to attend. Only members of the family have been invited. All of it is now under wraps, so it’s uncertain how things will go. But it’ll very certainly be a Maharashtrian wedding.

The family will go to the hill station on February 18 evening, according to the article, because the ceremony will take place the next day during the day. According to the tabloid, the bride’s sisters are all responsible for the pre-wedding celebrations, which include a bachelorette party (February 17) & tomorrow.

According to previous rumours, the pair planned to marry on February 21.

His father, Javed Akhtar, spoke to the Times of India 2 weeks ago regarding the wedding and said, “Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, Shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain (the wedding preparation) that is being taken care of by the wedding planners.”

He also told the magazine that because of Covid-19, the gathering will be small, with only close friends and family attending. “Considering the situation, it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people,” he said.

According to this two-day-old Instagram photo by Akhtar, the actor and his buddies are already getting into the wedding atmosphere.

In 2018, Dandekar and Farhan began dating. The actor was formerly wedded to Adhuna Bhabani, a renowned hairstylist with whom he had two kids, Shakya and Akira.
