Maruti Suzuki 2022 WagonR Unveiled, Price Begins at Rs 5.40 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new color scheme for the WagonR facelift, available in two-tone finishes: Magma Grey with Black Roof and Gallant Red with Black Roof.
On Saturday, Maruti Suzuki India, India’s biggest carmaker, introduced the 2022 WagonR facelift edition. The revamped hatchback begins at Rs 5.40 lakh and comes with revised engines that comply with new carbon emission regulations and other improvements (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new colour scheme for the WagonR facelift, available in two-tone finishes: Gallant Red with Black Roof and Magma Grey with Black Roof. The revised WagonR has no design modifications. However, it is now equipped with alloy wheels (ZXI+ only).
Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2022 Car’s Highlights
The car has a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio with smartphone navigation, 4 speakers, and cloud-based services, an ISS (idle stop-start system) plus a hill-hold assist system (AGS only). However, existing features like keyless entry, all four power windows, steering-mounted controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and air conditioning remain.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2022 Engine update
The engine area of the hatchback has undergone considerable changes. The 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre displacements of the DualJet Dual VVT engines are provided.
The larger 1.2-litre engine is only available in the ZXI and ZXI+ trims, whilst the 1.0-litre petrol or CNG engine is only available in the LXI, and VXI trims. The engines are available with either a 5-speed manual or even a 5-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to fuel efficiency, the 2022 WagonR’s 1.0-litre engine offers 24.35 to 25.40 km/l, while the 1.2-litre delivers 23.56 km/l for the manual 24.43 km/l for the AMT, rendering it 19% more fuel effective as compared to the previous generation.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2022 Pricing
The base LXI trim of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR costs Rs 5.40 lakh. The VXI with a 1.0-litre engine and AMT costs Rs 6.36 lakh, the ZXI with a 1.2-litre engine and AMT costs Rs 6.50 lakh, and the ZXI+ AMT costs Rs 6.98 lakh. The top-of-the-line ZXI+ AMT with the dual-tone finish is priced at Rs 7.10 lakh. The 1.0-litre engine is also available in the commercial-use Tour H3 grade, which costs between Rs 5.40 and 6.35 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
