News, Speculations, & Everything We Know About The Apple Mac Mini (2022)
The Apple Mac Mini (2022) is among our most anticipated products here at TechRadar, so its absence from the Apple Peek Performance launch on March 8 caught us off guard.
One of the Mac Mini’s main attractions is its small size, ideal for folks who require a home computer but don’t require a huge PC case or an all-in-one computer such as the current iMac. Others may be concerned that a mini-PC will not be potent enough for their requirements.
Release Date & Price: Apple Mac Mini (2022)
Mac mini
We don’t know when the Apple Mac Mini (2022) will be released because it hasn’t been announced yet. The latest Mac Mini (M1) was released in late 2020. Therefore, we anticipated it to be revealed at Apple’s March 2022 event based on Apple’s regular 18 to 24 product release cycle, but that wasn’t the case. When Apple plans to launch an M2 SoC, it’s still possible we’ll hear about it before the end of the year.
Design
One of the reasons for the loss of a redesign for the 13-inch MacBook Pro is that it may be phased out after this year in favor of the 14-inch MacBook Pro (2021).
When you’re going to keep releasing a product, as well as we don’t anticipate the Mac Mini to go away anytime soon, can be certain that it’ll need a redesign (albeit minor) to accommodate in with other Mac products that do, such as the iMac and, assumedly, the MacBook Air as well as MacBook Pro 14-inch but also MacBook Pro 16-inch.

Specs & Performance
We can’t say much about the Mac Mini’s specs without knowing the Apple CPU that powers it, but we anticipate it will offer the same 8GB/16GB Unified Memory configuration possibilities as the Mac Pro, with SSDs ranging from 256GB to 2TB.
We also anticipate the number and kinds of connectors to remain largely unchanged while we’re looking for a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 upgrade from Thunderbolt 3. Upgrades such as HDMI 2.1 and a DisplayPort 1.4 output are also possible, although, with Thunderbolt 4, those ports may be redundant. Therefore, they may be removed with a new Mac Mini.
That may cause some changes to our ranking of the best Mac Mini monitors, but we feel Apple isn’t too concerned about it.
Things could become interesting when it comes to the chips that power the new device.
There is speculation that we will see an M2-powered Mac Mini, an M1 Pro, and, on a rare occasion, an M1 Max-powered Mac Mini.
These two options may be more suited to professionals than home PCs. Still, they might give the Mac Mini a far broader appeal, especially as they could provide consumers of all hues accessibility to the performance of both the M1 Pro and M1 Max at a lower price point than a MacBook Pro.
Price Speculation
We have reason to assume that any new Mac mini should be an incremental boost over the present model, with beefier internals and a revised design, and that it will be priced the same as its predecessor: $699.
