Pricing and Specs for the OnePlus Pad 5G, an Anticipated Android 12 Tablet, have been Revealed
OnePlus is reportedly close to producing its first tablet, as per new rumours. The tablet, rumoured to be termed the OnePlus Pad 5G, will debut with a slew of appealing features and a low price tag.
The OnePlus 10 Pro, the company’s only flagship smartphone launched this year, has finally been given a global release date. Nevertheless, the OnePlus Pad, a tablet that will compete with the Galaxy Tab S8 series, the Xiaomi Pad 5, and the impending Vivo Pad, may be released.
OnePlus usually releases products in China first, then expands to other regions a few months later. Whilst OnePlus has not affirmed this, Mukul Sharma alleges that the OnePlus is now being manufactured in Europe and other areas. While this is true of the OnePlus 10 Pro, it is not true of the Nord N100 and Nord N200, which are the company’s cheap and mid-range handsets.
Specs
Separately, @Shadow Leak has revealed various details about the OnePlus Pad, which they claim will be labelled as “5G.” The OnePlus Pad 5G will have a 12.4-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution, as per the leaker. @Shadow Leak has not revealed the refresh rate of the display. However, they mention that the tablet features a 10,090 mAh battery that enables 45 W charging, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and dual rear-facing cameras that output at 5 MP and 13 MP, respectively.
The OnePlus Pad 5G is also expected to come with Android 12 and a Snapdragon 865 processor. For comparison, the Snapdragon 865 was used in the OnePlus 8 series, which was released in 2020. OnePlus will most likely use the newer Snapdragon 870 instead, essentially the same as the Snapdragon 865 in everything but name.
Price
The OnePlus Pad 5G is rumoured to cost CNY 2,999 (US$471) and come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, according to @Shadow Leak. However, it is uncertain whether OnePlus will provide other RAM variants at this time.
