Codenames for Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are now being developed internally at Google underneath the codenames ‘Cheetah’ and ‘Panther,’ according to Android 13. This is a significant change for anyone keeping track. Upgrades for Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro
Then there’s the hardware update. Google’s new Pixels are equipped with a ‘GS201’ processor, according to Android 13 code. ‘Cloudripper’ is the internal codename for the GS201. You know it is the successor to the Tensor GS101 processor seen in the Pixel 6 range, plus considering that it isn’t labeled the ‘GS102,’ it feels like a genuine next-generation update.
The GS201 will also be connected with a Samsung ‘G5300B’ modem, according to Android 13. Samsung has still yet to reveal this modem, which is encouraging given that the Pixel 6 lineup employed an Exynos 5123 modem (‘G5123B’) that Samsung disclosed in October of this year.
